Create a Deck From the Material You Have
Start with the subject you actually need to learn. Paste a paragraph into Raw Text, upload lecture slides or documents, link a public article, or choose a recording the browser can transcribe. The flashcard generator does not require you to rewrite every point into a question. It prepares an editable deck from extracted text, while retaining source labels where the file parser can provide them. Use one source when you want a focused deck, or choose up to five documents and images in the File / PDF tab to combine related chapters.
Before generating, set the difficulty and choose the card count. Auto estimates a target from the amount and structure of the extracted text, with a range of five to fifty cards. Fixed choices are 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50. A short source can yield fewer cards than the number you picked; the generator should not repeat a fact just to hit a quota. Very large batches are checked against a text budget before the paid generation step, and you may need to split them.
Edit, Study, and Export Your Flashcards
A generated deck is not locked. Open its card set to correct wording, add examples, rename concepts, or remove weak cards. The interface supports ordinary question-and-answer cards, cloze blanks, multiple-choice prompts, and true-or-false or written recall practice when the card data supports those forms. Quiz asks one question at a time and shows feedback. Auto Mix uses several study styles, while Match lets you pair terms with definitions. Spaced repetition reviews use Again, Hard, Good, and Easy ratings; the schedule is saved with the deck in this browser.
When a deck is ready for another workflow, the export menu can download JSON, CSV, plain-text notes, or an Anki-importable tab-separated text file. The Anki export is front-and-back text rather than an Anki Cloze note package. Check its field mapping during import, especially if you edited cards with rich details. Your current decks are local to this browser; clearing browser storage can remove them, so export important material before cleaning local history.
A Clear Free Starting Point
You can generate up to 3 decks per day in the current browser without entering a credit card. This is a generation limit, not a cap on how many times you can open a saved deck or practice its cards. The allowance is enforced in the current browser, so it is not an account-wide promise across devices. If an input fails during reading or a model is unavailable, the interface reports the failed stage. Local file parsing and browser OCR help avoid sending the original file to the card generation endpoint; extracted text is what enters that service.
